Twenty-eighth in a series of articles from our visits to colleges and universities that are invited to participate in the 2018 College Film Awards.
We venture across state lines into Delaware to tap into a promising film school — Wilmington University in New Castle, DE.
A relatively small private school, Wilmington offers career-oriented curricula that include a full course of study in digital filmmaking. This university recognizes the value of film production skills for its graduates.
One look at its course offerings confirms Wilmington’s commitment to its film students. The university’s Video and Motion Graphic’s Digital Film-Making concentration allows students to explore introductory and advanced digital film making, with instruction on directing and shooting digital films, as well as documentary production and location lighting.
We love its documentary production abilities and welcome Wilmington’s narrative and documentary shorts to our 2018 College Film Awards event.
The addition of Wilmington to the mix means we’ve tabbed the most prestigious college film programs from Virginia, the District of Columbia, Maryland and Delaware. This should be the best college competition ever.
Welcome to Wilmington University. Go Wildcats!
