The Poe Film Festival is not currently accepting pitches or scripts other than through the contest format.

In concert with our sponsor, the Virginia High School League, the Poe Film Festival is proud to announce its exciting new event for Virginia’s young filmmakers.

The 2018 High School Showcase, a film screening show featuring the best of Virginia’s high school talent, will be presented at VCU’s historic Grace Street Theater, 934 W. Grace Street, Richmond, VA, on Saturday, October 20, 2018, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.

Registration for our high school filmmakers will be held at the Globe Building, 830 W. Grace Street, starting at 9 am.  The theater is less than one block west of the Globe Building.  Doors of the theater will open for guests, family and friends at 9 am.  The event is FREE.

Films will include animations, experimental, documentaries and narrative shorts.  Students hail from Virginia’s finest film production school programs, including Clover Hill High School, Radford High School, Churchland High School, Jefferson Forest High School, and George C. Marshall High School.

We look forward to honoring these gifted students, the next generation of talented Virginia filmmakers.  Tell your friends and neighbors – this is one movie event no one should miss!
