The Poe Film Festival is not currently accepting pitches or scripts other than through the contest format.

Twenty-seventh in a series of articles from our visits to colleges and universities that are invited to participate in the 2018 College Film Awards.

We’re talking to you, Radford. Listen up.

The Poe Film Festival folks know a little about your film students. We know there’s an Edgar Allan Poe expert who’s teaching you story-telling and production and editing. We know you have stories to tell.

Here’s your chance to share your films with dozens of other college filmmakers and professionals at the 2018 College Film Awards in Richmond next fall.

Your School of Communications ranks as one of the finest comprehensive media studies programs in the Commonwealth. Students can take up to 36 credits of intensive instruction in script writing, video production, audio production, and editing and effects.

So we know there are many student films in production at Radford, perhaps a few with a Poe flair.

We also know it’s a long drive over the mountain to Richmond for our one-day screening. But trust us, we’ll work with you to make it worth your while. Just submit your best narratives and documentaries on our website after April 1. It’s free and easy as a three-pointer swish.

Welcome Radford University to our red carpet. Go Highlanders!
